We are on a project with parts on R/3 4.6C and parts on MI (6.40).
There several custom developments, all of them with logging in the "application log" (aka SBAL or as txn SLG1).
Could we raise an alarm / send a msg to the operating staff / application owner when "red" items show up in the application log?
Can this be done directly, via CCMS or even via SolMan?
How easy is this?

I am try with a standard installation option for Primry Application Server as Central intance and DB also installed on same system.
The installation was throwing an error at 'Import Java Dumps' section.

In the environment I'm working, there are Z program that generates the files (.txt) in the server, in the path \ \ Lob-srvhodie \ sfaqas \ SFAOUT, then zipping need these files in a single folder for later move these folders to the legacy system via FTP, I am researching on the following subject:
In communication channel receiver chn_rcf_ftp_generic_mc1_z need to define the "path" batch that will be executed to zip the folder that is created to execute the program ZPSDR_019 (generates the files. TXT).
The batch archive save in folder on server \\Lob-srvhodie\sfaqas\SFAScript\script.bat
but still can not run the process successfully: generate the file (this is ok 100%, the. TXT are generated in the correct folder) and then generate the zip files (that's the point I'm trying to make it work). The Batch is created correct, when you run the batch "in hand" all existing folders in the directory are zipped correctly. The detail is: how should I put the call in this batch communication channel?
When i saved the comunication channel i receive the message: ERROR_OSCMD_NOT_ALLOWED.

Anyone have info on the subject?

We are installaing ECC6.0 and EHP5 fresh installation and looking for DIMP functionality too active in the system.
If we do only installation only Central Application Usage type then we can directly install EHP5 system (Central Application consist of SAP_APPL & EA-APPL).
But My question can we get the DIMP also after this installation type or we need to first install ECC6.0 and then upgrade EHP to get the DIMP function..I have not seen this answer any where in the guide or in SDN...

We have developed custom fields in PM order (IW31). These custom fields are incorporated in the standard report transaction IW38 and IW39. This developments was working fine in DEV and QAS system. Once we moved this devlopment to PRD so many standard transactions like IW31, IW32, IW33, IW38 and IW39 were giving dump. Please find the attached dump for your reference.

Hi experts
I have a wda with flash island inside. When i open this wda or others wda without flash island, the system create a user session of type 'Plugin HTTP' in SM04; one entry in SM04 for each web browser openned by each webdynpro.
But for some reason, now every time when some same wda with flash island send an event to wda, and wda call a RFC to other system, the system is creating a user session in SM04 (this has not been happening before), so when the user is working , the system is fulled for many sessions (one session for each event triggered, like if the user open anhoter web browser). This makes the system reach the limit of sessions in SM04 and send error 'ERROR Logon Failed - CPIC-CALL: "ThSAP CMRCV"... '
Does somebody knows where can i investigate how to fix this problem for not open a new user session for each event executed in one same webdynpro ?

We are trying to send an IDoc type INVOIC from one SAP R/3 system to
another using the SAP XI/PI.
Right now we are experience an error Customer , vendor 0000049256 not
known, after have check all ALE/EDI configuration between the source
system (SAP R/3 4.6B), the middleware (SAP XI/PI 7.0) and the receiver
system (SAP R/3 4.6B with IS-OIL) we still dont find the solution.
We applied the note 117814, with the following code (file attach).

I heard that my ERP 2005 which is based on successor version of NW 04 and which is scheduled to release in Oct 2005 only supports Unicode installations ? I can't find any information on this on SAP website or SAP service market place to validate ? Only thing I know is that SAP will no longer support MDMP installations with mySAP ERP 2005.
Can someone from SAP answer this for us. If we have French, Spanish and English language used which are code page 1100, are we force to convert to unicode if we have to upgrade to mySAP ERP 2005.
